About The Position

Develop and implement strategies that support the organizational development and talent teams, including employee and labor relations, labor contracts, and policy interpretation. Resolve workplace issues in compliance with applicable policies, employment laws and regulations. Review and recommend corrective actions that align with legal requirements and organizational policies. Oversee and ensure compliance with employee compensation practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, legal or closely related field
  • Five (5) years of recent management and operational experience gained through progressively more responsible positions in an area of human resources, organizational development or employee and labor relations
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee and labor relations activities for non-union and union employees within five (5) bargaining units
  • Establish and maintain relationships with GLWA leadership, employees and external partners as required
  • Coordinate with General Counsel, outside consultants, and other agencies ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
  • Manage the union negotiation process
  • Conduct comprehensive unbiased investigations and formulate reasonable and effective conclusions
  • Manage the merit pay and salary adjustment processes ensuring internal equity and recommend employee compensation changes
  • Manage conflict resolution practices
  • Manage and oversee employee separation hearings
  • Review and ensure contracts and recommended amendments with vendors are processed through internal processes
