About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Manager leads recruiting initiatives to attract and hire top talent in support of MAHEC’s workforce objectives. This role leads the Talent Acquisition team and oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, leveraging innovative sourcing strategies, internal workforce development initiatives, and emerging technologies to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. The Talent Acquisition Manager oversees recruitment operations to ensure a consistent, high-quality, and compliant hiring process that supports organizational priorities and adheres to applicable employment laws and MAHEC policies. As a member of the Talent Management Leadership Team, this role partners with the Chief Talent Officer, Total Rewards Manager, and Strategic Business Partners to advance organizational talent strategies and support operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years in Talent Management or related field
  • Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position.
  • Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek
  • Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by the team leader.
  • Committed to listening attentively to our stakeholders in order to fully understand their needs. Close attention should be given to both verbal and non-verbal messages. Messages delivered with courtesy, respect, clarity, and care.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • SPHR or PHR certification
  • 5 or more years of experience in Talent Acquisition or related field, with specific experience in complex and high-volume recruitment
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced people management and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees; and ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Spanish speaking skills preferred.
  • Weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionally required.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and sustains strategic partnerships with hiring managers, candidates, industry organizations, and community stakeholders to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops the Talent Acquisition team to deliver exceptional service, ensure operational excellence, achieve performance goals, and drive successful hiring outcomes.
  • Coordinates provider employment agreements as part of the onboarding process, ensuring timely and accurate contract execution.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies while promoting equitable and effective hiring practices.
  • Applies healthcare workforce insights, labor market trends, and recruiting best practices to develop innovative talent acquisition strategies.
  • Develops and maintains robust active and passive candidate pipelines to meet current hiring needs and support long-term workforce planning.
  • Partners with Marketing to leverage local and regional market intelligence, strengthen employer branding, and expand recruiting networks.
  • Represents MAHEC through job fairs, academic partnerships, professional associations, and networking events to enhance employer brand awareness and candidate engagement.
  • Monitors and analyzes recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and inform talent acquisition strategies.
  • Maintains accurate, compliant, and confidential recruitment and onboarding data, ensuring data integrity, process effectiveness, and a positive candidate experience.
  • Collaborates with organizational leaders to develop and execute talent attraction, recruitment marketing, and employer branding strategies aligned with workforce priorities.
  • Partners with leadership on strategic workforce planning initiatives, including succession planning, talent assessment, career development, and internal mobility.
  • Ensures candidates receive accurate and consistent information regarding role expectations, total rewards, and career opportunities throughout the recruitment process.
