About The Position

The Manager, Supply Planning serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing and executing supply plans that ensure high service levels while optimizing inventory, production efficiency, and network capacity across Mama’s Creations’ manufacturing footprint. This role operates at the center of the organization’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, translating demand signals into actionable production, procurement, and deployment plans. In alignment with our commitment to Grandma Quality, this role ensures that planning decisions uphold product freshness, minimize waste, and support reliable service to our customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or supply chain management, preferably in CPG or food manufacturing
  • Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments
  • Strong proficiency in planning systems and advanced Excel modeling
  • Experience supporting or leading S&OP / IBP processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment for prolonged periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel between company locations as needed
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and food production conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs, access production areas, and navigate plant floors safely
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in production area

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end supply plans across all manufacturing locations and co-manufacturing partners, ensuring enterprise alignment and consistency
  • Manage both rough-cut capacity models (Excel-based) and system-driven planning tools with a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship
  • Translate demand forecasts into feasible and executable production and deployment plans that reflect operational realities and Grandma Quality standards
  • Continuously refine planning models to improve accuracy, responsiveness, and scalability, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and craftsmanship
  • Apply a “does this make sense” lens to all planning outputs to ensure data integrity, reliability, and sound decision-making
  • Establish daily and weekly production targets aligned with demand and operational capacity, reinforcing accountability to plan
  • Partner with plant leadership and schedulers to ensure execution against production plans, nurturing strong cross-functional relationships
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve gaps in output, capacity constraints, and schedule risks with a proactive and ownership-driven approach
  • Drive schedule adherence and stability across all sites, ensuring predictability and disciplined execution
  • Maintain strong alignment with plant operations to ensure plans are executable and grounded in reality, demonstrating respect for operational expertise
  • Manage days of supply targets and safety stock levels across all SKUs, balancing service and efficiency
  • Balance service levels with inventory turns, freshness standards, and obsolescence risk, upholding Grandma Quality and product integrity
  • Monitor and mitigate short code and shelf-life risk, ensuring products meet quality and freshness expectations
  • Reduce write-offs tied to forecast variability and excess inventory through thoughtful, data-driven planning decisions
  • Ensure planning decisions consistently support Mama’s Grandma Quality standards and customer commitments
  • Monitor and manage capacity utilization across all production sites with an enterprise mindset
  • Proactively identify and communicate capacity constraints or opportunities for additional volume, supporting informed business decisions
  • Lead network balancing efforts, optimizing production flow across facilities to support overall enterprise performance
  • Support integration of new facilities and ensure alignment to standardized planning processes and best practices
  • Drive decisions that optimize the overall network, not individual locations, reinforcing Think Enterprise principles
  • Lead weekly Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes and support monthly MBR/S&OP reviews with structured, high-quality inputs
  • Prepare and present supply plans, risks, constraints, and trade-offs to leadership with clarity, transparency, and accountability
  • Develop what-if scenarios to support informed decision-making and proactive risk management
  • Identify and implement improvements to planning processes, tools, and data accuracy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in planning and execution, reinforcing craftsmanship and operational excellence
  • Partner with Demand Planning to align forecasts and manage variability through collaborative problem-solving
  • Collaborate with Operations and Plant Leadership on production execution and constraints, building trust-based relationships
  • Coordinate with Procurement on material availability, supplier performance, and lead times to ensure end-to-end alignment
  • Align with Customer Supply Chain on service levels, allocations, and priorities, supporting a strong customer-first mindset
  • Support Finance with inventory projections, excess & obsolescence analysis, and cost impacts, ensuring financial alignment and visibility
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across functions and sites, embodying Nurture Relationships
  • Track and report key supply chain KPIs, including: Case Fill Rate / OTIF, Production Plan Adherence, Inventory Turns & Days of Supply, Obsolescence and Expired Product, Schedule Stability, Expedite and Premium Freight Spend, Promotional Service Levels
  • Analyze trends and implement corrective actions to improve performance, demonstrating ownership and accountability for results
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all reporting and planning data, reflecting a commitment to Craftsmanship and reliability
