About The Position

The Supply management Manager leads day-to-day activities of the Supply Management department. This role is responsible for setting systems to evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety. Hires and manages purchasing supervisors, buyers and support staff as needed. Overseas the daily workflow and schedules for the department in close support of production activities.

Requirements

  • AA in Business or related field; HS diploma required
  • 2+ years' experience of directly managing and coaching employees.
  • 10 years procurement experience as a sr buyer or purchasing supervisor
  • Excellent communication skills. Communicates effectively with suppliers, internal customers, upper management and subordinates.
  • Strong leadership skills and manager capability to execute and delegate plans and accomplish goals.
  • Intermediate Excel and SAP software
  • Deep understanding of market situation and purchasing environment
  • Demonstrated success in previous procurement position(s) with an emphasis on attention to detail; cost reduction, operational efficiencies, and negotiation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including business writing and email.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Travel up to 25%

  • Demonstrated success in previous procurement position(s) with an emphasis on attention to detail; cost reduction, operational efficiencies and negotiation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including business writing and email.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to speak verbally and hear.
  • Vision required in the job includes close vision and reading a computer screen.

  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of market situation and purchasing environment and make effective purchasing strategy for stable supply and cost reduction.
  • Based off of Production's Master Plan and business forecast, set effective Supply Management department's metrics and action plans to support internal customers and cost savings.
  • Negotiates procure supplies, production materials, equipment, and services to meet the need of the organization at the lowest cost consistent with the consideration of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need.
  • Performs onsite audits/visits to potential or current suppliers.
  • Evaluates vendor quotes and services.
  • Establishes foreign and domestic suppliers.
  • Structures supplier contracts and works closely with legal.
  • Ensures supplier compliance with site and company requirements for safety and security.
  • Understanding of commodities and monitors supplier trends to implement effective purchasing plans.
  • Manages subcontractors, generates shipping documents, and submits raw material stock for processing.
  • Complies and trains team on all applicable requirements of KII Policy, KII Ringi Policy, SOX, AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Requirements, ISO 14000 Environmental Requirements, ITAR, US Customs, Governmental regulations and taxing bodies.
  • Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify needs and materials or identify potential bottlenecks and acceptable substitutions.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, motivates and oversees Supply Management staff.
  • Tracks Supply Management activity and measurements.
  • Evaluates and approves conditions for awarding bids or orders to large suppliers.
  • Models ethical and accurate reporting.
  • Administers and tracks departmental annual and monthly budgets.
  • Approves and reviews and procurement related ringis and record keeping entries.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
