About The Position

Our Strategic SCM team is responsible for supply chain processes and systems design & deployment, flawless product launches, global logistics and broader business execution, including working capital management. Our supplier quality team works with site quality engineering staff to set and monitor consistent supplier quality performance KPI’s, address supplier performance issues, and drive ongoing quality performance improvement. With leading supply chain capabilities and integrated services tailored to meet our customers' unique requirements, our unified supply chain is adaptive and responsive to continuous change. Requirements
- Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
- Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes.
- Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
- Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools.
- Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve Celestica’s goals
Responsibilities
- Maintains positive relationships with key customers, suppliers, etc., who have a significant impact on the success of the organization.
- Maintains responsibility for management of materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set.
- Provides leadership in designing the supplier portion of the materials supply chain to provide optimum flexibility with minimum investment.
- Identify and develop suppliers to meet current and future business needs.
- Drive team to manage material shortages to ensure Clear to Builds in collaboration with the Purchasing and SLM Team.
- Facilitate efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks.
- Manages the administration of all site purchasing contracts and agreements.
- Manages the development of delivery requirements, material plans and short-range capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives.
- Responsible for customer interface from SCM including relationship management and as the focal point for all SCM-related issues.
- May be responsible for tracking and driving inventory results for North America working with site GM’s, SCM managers and customer VP/GMs.
- Participates in business process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment.
- Works to ensure Celestica is compliant with customs and regulatory laws. Negotiates with carriers to support domestic and international air, rail and ocean transport ensuring favorable rates and cycle times for Celestica.
- Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals.
- Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
- Develops Rack Integration Center of Excellence through identification and creation of best practices, procedures and processes.
- Drive cross collaboration and sharing between customer accounts.
