Direct daily operations of the Distribution Center and Supplies departments, ensuring accountability for results and reinforcing Village culture within the team. Schedule, assign, and support teammates in warehouse and distribution activities. Ensure teammates are trained in safe and proper use of equipment (i.e., forklifts, pallet jacks, shipping systems). Maintain a safe working environment through inspections, training, and hazard mitigation. Ensure accurate order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and material handling. Oversee cycle counts and monthly physical inventory; resolve discrepancies using high‑quality analysis, alternatives, and risk evaluation. Support purchasing operations, including requisition review and procurement planning, balancing strategic perspectives and driving business outcomes. Maintain procurement files, MSDS/SDS records, vendor rating systems and scorecards. Anticipate procurement needs and help drive new project growth by keeping buyers and leadership aligned, sharing progress updates, and surfacing roadblocks proactively. Support contract negotiations by providing data on vendor service performance and material quality, influencing stakeholders through clear framing and insights. Ensure compliance with DaVita Labs’ purchasing policies and quality standards while modeling continuous improvement. Resolve vendor issues and maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication and relationship management. Oversee inventory management across multiple functions, translating broader goals into measurable targets for the team. Implement and maintain inventory controls, reporting, and corrective troubleshooting. Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities by driving team performance and clarifying trade‑offs and recommendations. Ensure alignment between procurement, inventory, and distribution functions by considering all parts of the system and collaborating cross‑functionally to drive results. Recruit, train, coach, and develop teammates while managing performance and building succession and development plans. Manage departmental budgets by setting expectations, monitoring spend, and ensuring responsible resource allocation. Conduct performance evaluations and support career development by applying feedback and helping teammates strengthen skills and address growth areas. Monitor workflow, delegate responsibilities, and manage scheduling and timekeeping with clarity and consistency. Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture rooted in DaVita values and strengthened by belonging, psychological safety, and continuous learning. Communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners, demonstrating executive presence and influencing outcomes through meaningful interactions.
