The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inbound and outbound transportation, distribution, and logistics operations across the cluster. This role ensures cost-effective, compliant, and service-driven execution of logistics activities supporting both suppliers and customers. The position aligns transportation planning with production, inventory, and customer requirements while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field OR equivalent experience
- 5-8 years’ experience in rail, truck transportation and logistics management
- 2-5 years DOT compliance specific experience
- 2-4 years of direct people management experience
Nice To Haves
- SAP experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations for inbound and outbound shipments
- Plan and optimize transportation modes (rail, truck, intermodal, ocean)
- Manage carrier relationships and performance
- Coordinate shipment scheduling and tracking
- Oversee export logistics and customs compliance
- Monitor and control logistics costs
- Ensure accurate documentation and system data
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ownership of transportation and logistics cost performance
- Responsible for cost efficiency and budget adherence
- Supports cost savings initiatives
- Oversee logistics coordinators, specialists or planners
- Provides functional leadership across logistics activities
