About The Position

The Manager, Supply Chain FP&A will provide financial leadership to the US Supply Chain team, enabling informed decision making and driving sustainable cost improvement. This role will provide analytics and insights that support the delivery of strategic imperatives and will work with many levels of the Hershey Company organization to understand current results, future expectations, and the business drivers that provide opportunities and/or risks to the division. A successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, and analysis skills.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills to influence and drive strategic and analytical decision making across all areas of the ≈$5B supply chain.
  • Ability to proactively analyze, interpret, and integrate multiple data sources, continuously identify areas for improvement, and execute process improvement recommendations.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to develop strong relationships and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency with SAP S/4 HANA, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerQuery and Alteryx.
  • A strong understanding and familiarity of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business-related field required
  • At least 5+ years of progressive finance experience in an analytical and/or strategic capacity, experience developing strategic and data-driven recommendations, comfortable with a wide variety of data

Responsibilities

  • CoGS Planning and Analysis
  • Lead and continuously improve the financial modeling tools, processes, and reporting to manage the total COGS Strategic Plan, Annual Plan, Business Updates, and monthly financial estimate updates (LEs) for the US CMG & Protein businesses. Coordinate with External Reporting and Investor Relations to provide the necessary support required for each quarter’s external communications.
  • Provide detailed reviews of US margins vs forecasts and provide insights to management that break down variances between volume, mix, rate, and price.
  • Proactively validate and take ownership of costing assumptions while critically evaluating frameworks and processes for potential enhancements
  • Serve as the key Supply Chain Finance business partner to the Supply Chain Leadership Team, attending routine connections to provide financial perspective on Supply Chain topics
  • Coordinate the P&L mapping of US productivity initiatives to ensure P&L delivery of projects in terms of timing and value.
  • Drive transparency by developing, maintaining, and continuously improving monthly & quarterly US reports and tools that will assist the cross functional business partners in making profitable business decisions. Leverage reporting available across other segments to standardize the analytics and communications the US leadership team relies on.
  • Deliver clear and concise recommendations in a timely fashion on ad-hoc analyses.
  • Lead, embrace, and have a passion for process improvement and implement initiatives in collaboration with the business partners.

  • Leverage Hershey systems and become an SAP, PowerQuery, and Alteryx expert to develop insights and solutions to complex business problems.
  • Enhance and maintain automation of standard reporting packages to streamline data analysis and improve decision-making efficiency.
