Energy Department The Energy Group is responsible for supporting Vantage’s data center portfolio through the execution and management of complex commercial energy agreements, including utility service agreements, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, gas supply and infrastructure contracts, and other energy-adjacent arrangements. The team partners closely with project management, development, legal, finance, and external counterparties to ensure contracts are executed efficiently, accurately documented, and aligned with business objectives. Position Overview This role can be based in any of our US locations or Remote Vantage is seeking a commercial power markets professional to support the development and execution of power solutions for large-scale data center projects across North America. This role will focus on structuring and executing wholesale and retail power arrangements, transmission service strategies, and innovative energy delivery solutions to support hyperscale load growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in power markets, transmission transactions (including point-to-point, network integration transmission service (NITS), and related arrangements), structured energy agreements, and commercial power delivery strategies. Candidates may come from utilities, IPPs, energy marketers, trading organizations, developers, or large commercial energy users, and should bring a strong commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate market dynamics and develop creative solutions around grid constraints, reliability, and energy supply. In addition to commercial transaction experience, the role requires exposure to power development and infrastructure strategy, including an understanding of development risks, timelines, and commercial considerations associated with new generation and large load projects. This includes familiarity with transmission queue processes, interconnection timelines, utility studies, large load utility engagement, and differences between deregulated markets, regulated markets, and retail service arrangements. This role will work cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, legal, utility, to support scalable and reliable energy solutions for mission-critical infrastructure projects.
