Provides leadership oversight for all Supply Chain Management (SCM) related matters for customers. This role involves directing source selection, identifying and developing suppliers to meet current and future business needs, and supporting efforts to reduce material costs and assess/respond to supply risks. The position advises on the supply chain management process for customers, covering aspects from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance. It requires cross-functional collaboration to optimize the design for supply chain performance of Celestica products and serves as the primary customer interface for SCM, managing relationships and acting as a focal point for all SCM-related issues, strategies, and requirements. The role is responsible for a set of projects jointly developed by Celestica and customers, deploying systems and processes to ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinating responses to all SCM customer inquiries. Additionally, it participates in business process improvements to achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment, interfaces with cross-functional teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans, and supports working capital assumptions in the quote process, leading SCM optimization efforts to achieve or exceed quoted turns and plan. The role drives customer engagement on demand planning, demand management, commitments, non-performing inventory, and future process changes/improvements. It provides direction and support to site teams on SIOP, GAP inventory reviews, and Strategic inventory proposals to customers. Responsibilities include reviewing NPI BOMs and developing materials strategies, identifying SMI opportunities and driving their implementation, management, and performance, and driving localization and strategic sourcing activities for CLS-preferred suppliers. The role supports SIOP revenue forecasting and execution throughout product launch (NPI to MP), identifies SIOP demand-supply material shortages throughout product launch (NPI to MP), and identifies and develops higher-level assembly and integration strategies where applicable. It also coordinates 2nd sourcing qualifications and phase-ins, and CLS intersite activities where applicable. The position provides strategic supply chain expertise, support, and innovative solutions to internal SCM stakeholders and customers, holding responsibility for the supply chain strategy for customers within their market and driving initiatives with sites to support customer and Celestica requirements. It supports the SCM portion for customer QBRs and engages with senior management at key/strategic suppliers, handling escalations and driving KPI improvement initiatives. The role supports the team in ensuring contractual claims for SCM-related costs are recovered (e.g., E&O claims, premium for shortage management, NRE) and follows up on escalations with customers for resolutions. It collaborates with customers on proposals, expedites, and premiums, managing risks/liabilities for CLS, and provides guidance to ensure capacity is installed as needed. Regular interaction with executives and/or major customers is expected. The role provides leadership in the analysis of cost customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers and supports Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.
