Manager Software Engineering
About The Position
The Manager Software Engineering leads a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions. The role works with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful delivery, and contributes to executing the software engineering strategy in support of business goals. The manager mentors team members, leads agile development processes, collaborates with architects and senior engineers to promote high-quality code and design, monitors progress and addresses risks to project timelines, and fosters collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically 7 or more years of relevant industry work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Experience in a managerial role overseeing teams and/or projects.
- Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies.
- Strong programming and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to manage software projects and resources effectively.
