About The Position

As the Manager, Social Media & Content you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies and content creation to drive engagement, brand awareness, and promotion of our concerts, special events, and food and beverage experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in content creation, management, audience engagement, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience managing social media or digital marketing, with proven success on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Advanced skills in Instagram, TikTok, analytics tools, and content creation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
  • Strong strategic and analytical abilities for data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact social media campaigns.
  • Exceptional creativity and content production for diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Capture vibrant, real-time content on-site at United Center concerts, special events, and select NBA/NHL games to showcase the unforgettable live experience.
  • Drive engagement and elevate brand visibility by crafting and executing social media strategy and content for @UnitedCenter platforms, including @UnitedCenterEats and expansion project social media channels, amplifying both events and food & beverage offerings.
  • Lead campaign planning and bring fresh energy to existing programs, ensuring standout, high-quality content that captures the excitement and diversity of every event.
  • Partner with our in-house graphic design team to deliver creative assets that spotlight the United Center brand and keep audiences engaged beyond event coverage.
  • Oversee current platforms and identify opportunities to expand into new channels as needed.
  • Own the end-to-end content lifecycle (capturing, editing, publishing & reporting), manage the editorial calendar, collaborate with creators and teams, and produce compelling video stories to enrich every visitor’s experience.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, delivering actionable insights to refine strategies, boost results, and recap event impact.
  • Connect with the United Center community, nurture positive relationships, spark audience interaction, and reinforce a consistent, engaging brand voice to drive loyalty.
  • Curate and produce video-driven storytelling content to enhance visitor experience and understanding.
  • Create and implement interactive content to enhance audience participation and loyalty.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying emerging trends and technologies to enhance content creation and engagement strategies while conducting competitor analysis for growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (events and food & beverage) to ensure effective promotion, build and manage influencer partnerships for custom content, and ideate potential collaborator initiatives.
  • Strengthen relationships with event promoters and collaborators to maximize cross-promotional opportunities and proactively engage with different departments to drive innovation and creativity.

Benefits

  • The pay range for this role is $75,000-80,000 annually.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and commuter benefits.
