About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position based at a customer's location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to support positive and profitable customer relationships and contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

The Site Manager leads onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions, manages local site performance and contractual commitments, and maintains a strong focus on customer service and payment terms. The role may require working in challenging warehouse or manufacturing environments, variable shifts, overtime, and physical inventory tasks.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver cost savings to customers.
• Knowledge of financial and business practices, including interpreting and managing to profit and loss statement expectations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment when required.
• Ability to pass forklift or other warehouse equipment certifications when required.
• Ability to handle and work physical inventory and lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance, following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Experience with indirect materials.
• At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions.
• Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Manage site profit and loss and ensure local integrated supply sites achieve sales and profitability goals and meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Drive contractual customer commitments at local sites, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Provide urgent and responsive service to external and internal customers.
• Ensure local integrated supply customers pay Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
