About The Position

The Manager-SHiNE Program provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the SHiNE (San Bernardino Healthy in Nature Equity) Program. The manager is responsible for ensuring successful implementation of grant-funded outdoor equity initiatives, supervising program personnel, managing partnerships and budgets, overseeing evaluation and reporting activities, and expanding opportunities for underserved youth to access natural spaces that support physical, mental, and environmental well-being. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of grant administration and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of Outdoor Equity and youth development principles.
• Knowledge of Community engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of Program planning and evaluation methodologies.
• Knowledge of Fiscal management.
• Knowledge of Data collection.
• Knowledge of Public health promotion concepts.
• Knowledge of Organizational and university policies.
• Able to read; write and speak with professional quality.
• Use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
• Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
• Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
• Provide leadership.
• Be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws.
• Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.

• 3-5 years’ experience in coordinating grant-funded community programs preferred.
