About The Position

Braze is looking to hire a Manager on our Services Consulting team. Braze’s Service Offering Managers act as trusted advisors to our prospective clients and Sales team during the sales process, adapting their extensive expertise on the Braze services to meet customer needs. Our Service Offering Managers support the Braze sales organization during pre-sales in scoping client service requirements, presenting our service offerings, building comfort and confidence in the value of Braze services, and positioning optimal service pricing and packaging to potential customers. This role is an opportunity to expand on your people management and leadership skills, while partnering with Braze’s sales, Solutions Consulting, and post-sales services teams. The role will draw upon your people-management skills and experience in service delivery, Technical Account Management, Customer Success, or related fields, along with a high level of curiosity and proven track record of execution. You will serve as a mentor, advocate, and leader for the Services Consultants on your team. The role requires some travel —at most 30% at peak times —and is based in one of our sales offices—New York City, London, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Singapore, or Sydney.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in SaaS pre-sales or service delivery, consulting, or business analysis.
  • An excellent communicator, presenter, and storyteller with significant client-facing experience
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with both internal and external stakeholders at senior leadership level (e.g. Head of CRM, VP/Director, C-suite, etc)
  • Experience working with Sales teams and during deal cycles, or have been exposed and have awareness of sales motions from a post-sales role
  • Excellent time management skills with initiative, autonomy, and prioritization skills to optimize output
  • Curious problem solver who is comfortable operating in and outside of pre-defined playbooks to navigate and find the best solution to challenges
  • Available to travel to prospective customer offices for on-site visits, in-person meetings, and collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills are essential

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the Braze tool and services offerings, or similar products
  • Demonstrated experience/comfort managing projects (both internal and client-facing) to completion
  • Change management experience
  • Business proficiency in one or more additional languages

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and manage 4+ global ICs, with future growth and hiring potential
  • Collaborate with the Sales teams to support deal cycles, including RFPs, pitches, and on-site sessions
  • Build and maintain subject matter expertise in the Braze service offerings currently supported by the team to enable effective consultancy support during pre-sales and become a point of contact for other internal business teams
  • Manage expectations to deliver for sales and post-sales leadership
  • Liaise closely with post-sales leadership to ensure they are supported by pre-sales
  • Conduct discovery with prospective customers to understand their service needs and curate tailored session presentations, including bespoke project plans, resourcing requirements, etc.
  • Lead development of sales go-to-market materials, talk tracks, and training to help Sales best position the value of our service offering packages with customers during pre-sales motions, to help our organization scale
  • Gather feedback from the sales teams regarding our package offerings and work with Service Leadership and Product Marketing teams to help provide insight into new service package offerings
