Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, financial services, or a combination of both
  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams or full projects involving transformation, strategy, regulatory, operations, technology, or process improvement initiatives within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of one or more FSG domains such as retail banking, commercial banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, wealth management, risk, finance, or operations
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and navigate complex, fast-paced client environments
  • Strong project management capabilities, with experience managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and team delivery
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesize findings into compelling presentations and recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hypothesis-driven and structured approach
  • Experience coaching and developing team members in a consulting or professional services environment
  • A highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-focused mindset
  • Willingness to travel as required based on client needs
  • Related University Degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex consulting engagements for clients across the financial services sector, including banking, insurance, wealth management, capital markets, and payments
  • Advise clients on strategy, operating model design, business transformation, process improvement, change management, and project execution
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements
  • Manage workplans, project risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and overall delivery quality to ensure successful outcomes
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and working sessions to assess current-state processes, identify opportunities, and define practical recommendations
  • Support business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, solution shaping, and thought leadership
  • Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable plans and measurable results
  • Collaborate across internal teams and practices to bring the best of the firm to each client engagement
  • Contribute to practice development by helping refine methodologies, tools, intellectual property, and market offerings within the Financial Services Group
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and mentoring project teams. You will also be responsible for career management, professional development, and supporting employees through Optimus SBR’s Career Development Program (CDP)
  • Contribute to the life and culture of Optimus SBR
