About The Position

SharkNinja is seeking a North America Commercial Planning leader to serve as the connective tissue across our commercial planning ecosystem. The Commercial Planning individual will synthesize demand signals across retailers, channels, and categories into a clear, pressure-tested gross sales outlook — and translate those insights into action. We are building a lean, high-impact Commercial Planning function, and the right person will be analytically self-sufficient, cross-functionally influential, and genuinely energized by working in an environment that is evolving. The tools, scope, and cross-functional expectations of this team will continue to change; we are looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience in S&OP, demand planning, or commercial analytics in a consumer goods or retail environment; title will reflect level of experience
  • Background in cross-functional program or project management, with demonstrated experience driving alignment and decisions across commercial, supply, and finance teams
  • Strong forecasting fundamentals: baseline demand, promotional lift, NPD ramp, WOS/POS dynamics, and constrained vs. unconstrained bridging
  • Demonstrated ability to turn data into a clear point of view and influence action across a cross-functional team — without relying on authority
  • Comfort with data and BI tools; experience with AI-powered analytics is a strong plus, and an eagerness to adopt and build fluency with AI tools quickly is essential
  • Exceptional communicator — able to translate complex analysis into concise narratives for senior stakeholders
  • Highly adaptable — thrives when the role, tools, and expectations are shifting, and brings structure and clarity rather than waiting for it
  • Proactive mindset and strong follow-through — you identify the insight and you track it through to action
  • Collaborative, curious, and energized by being the person who connects the dots that others miss

Nice To Haves

  • AI-powered analytics experience
  • Eagerness to adopt and build fluency with AI tools quickly

Responsibilities

  • Own the total NA gross sales forecast by synthesizing and pressure-testing inputs across account and category teams into a coherent, reliable outlook
  • Drive regular trend vs. forecast reviews, incorporating sell-through dynamics, retailer inventory health, forecast accuracy, revenue pacing, and new product performance
  • Build and maintain constrained vs. unconstrained demand scenarios, monthly phasing, and financial hedges for NPD launches and supply risk
  • Identify demand risks and opportunities — including cross-retailer dynamics — and partner with stakeholders to recommend and drive corrective action
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Sales, SS&A, Supply Planning, Finance, and Product Development to gather inputs, align assumptions, and drive accountability in the forecast
  • Own the demand review process with Supply Planning, ensuring cross-functional alignment before new demand signals are actioned downstream
  • Proactively bring insights and risks to the right stakeholders — not after the fact, but early enough to change the outcome
  • Support the preparation and delivery of monthly commercial planning reviews and IBP consensus planning
  • Translate data into clear, business-relevant narratives that drive decision-making across commercial, supply, and finance leadership
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate analysis, automate recurring outputs, and surface insights that would be difficult to reach through traditional approaches
  • Support scenario planning and what-if analysis as commercial priorities shift
  • Build, refine, and adapt planning processes and reporting frameworks as the team and business evolve
  • Stay curious about new planning technologies — including AI and automation — and bring forward practical applications that raise team capability
  • Help establish and track planning KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, attainment, and inventory health
