The Security Manager of Franciscan Health holds the critical role of supervising overall operation of the Safety/Security department. This position is, also, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the safety management program, and overseeing the reporting and investigation of criminal activities or incidents. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • Associate's Degree Criminal Justice / Environmental Safety - Required
  • Certificate Safety / Regulatory / Compliance - Required
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License - Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association obtained within 180 days of hire - Required
  • License to Carry Handgun - State Police obtained within 90 days - Required

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate Various Law Enforcement topics - Preferred
  • 5 years Safety & Security Management - Preferred
  • 5 years Sworn Law Enforcement Officer - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the reporting and investigation of criminal activities or incidents that involve property loss or damage and patient, personnel, or visitor injury.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of the safety management program, incorporating the areas of building safety, electrical safety, fire prevention, waste management and patient, visitor and employee incident control, and reporting and personal safety.
  • Manage an ongoing hospital-wide process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues as addressed by the Safety Committee.
  • Assist with routine and regular inspections of all hospital areas, to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards promulgated by IOSHA and other agencies.
