About The Position

The Manager supports the strategic plan of the Hospital by providing leadership and direction to management and line staff within identified departments. The manager is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by meeting operational goals that are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization. The Manager of Security is responsible for the oversight of the Security Operations for the main campus, immediate surrounding properties and off-site facilities. Responsible for establishing departmental vision, philosophy, objectives and functions, studying program requirements, developing work standards and evaluating the results. Ensures that security meets all requirements set forth by TJC, OSHA, AB508, Title 22, and HIPAA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant healthcare or similar facility security experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience required.
  • Some experience with Title 22 and other regulatory agency requirements required.
  • Current Driver’s License issued by State of California.
  • Must be insurable under Huntington’s liability insurance.
  • Current CA Guard Card issued by the CA Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS)
  • Current Basic, Advanced, Supervisor and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification issued by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of healthcare or similar facility experience preferred.
  • Some law enforcement or military experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
