About The Position

The Manager-Section coordinates all activities related to the front office and surgery coordinating functions for the Department of Surgery. Supervises Surgery Schedulers for the Department of Surgery. Supervises personnel, monitoring their productivity while emphasizing completeness, accuracy and concern for the patient. Interfaces with physicians, employees and patients, maintaining positive relationships with the ability to delegate and coordinate responsibility; develops plans for achieving objectives and standards pertaining to surgery scheduling and front office functions. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum five years front office clinical experience required.
  • Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Able to think critically.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of college level education preferred.
  • Two years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in Surgery preferred.
