About The Position

We're seeking a mission-driven Manager of Search to own our paid with organic and AI search strategy across all digital platforms. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of performance marketing and purpose — helping seniors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals discover life-changing products. You will lead the full search ecosystem, from Google and Bing campaigns to emerging AI-driven discovery (AEO & GEO).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEM experience in a retail or health/wellness ecommerce environment with proven ROAS accountability.
  • Expert proficiency in Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max) and Microsoft Advertising, plus deep knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
  • Demonstrated experience with or active experimentation in AEO and GEO, including schema markup, structured data, and AI-platform visibility tactics.
  • Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar); strong Excel/Sheets skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Google Ads certification and familiarity with SEO platforms (Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, owning bid strategy, budget allocation, and ROAS optimization for a health & wellness ecommerce brand.
  • Manage Google Shopping, Performance Max, and Dynamic Search Ads, including product data feed maintenance across Google and Microsoft Merchant Center.
  • Define and execute a full-funnel SEO strategy covering on-page, off-page, and technical SEO — conducting site audits and partnering with dev teams on Core Web Vitals and structured data.
  • Drive keyword strategy and content gap analysis in collaboration with content and product teams to grow organic rankings and that Journey's products are recommended by AI platforms for high-intent health and mobility searches.
  • Develop Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure Journey surfaces in AI-generated answers on ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Own analytics and performance reporting using GA4 and Google Search Console, building executive dashboards that connect search performance to revenue outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with ecommerce, merchandising, content, and paid social teams to align search with product launches and the promotional calendar.
  • Present strategy, results, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, business-focused manner.
