About The Position

As our Manager, Sales Development, you’ll lead and support a team of highly motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representatives during a period of rapid-growth at Vanta. These SDRs will be focused on supporting Vantas pipeline generation from marketing channels. You’ll be integral in shaping our sales organization as we continue to scale, move up market, and distinguish Vanta as best-in-class to prospects in our rapidly growing category of security automation, with Vanta having created the category of automated compliance.

Requirements

  • Be located in San Francisco, CA and have the ability to commute to the office in a hybrid setting 3x per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
  • Have 3-5 years of sales experience, with at least 2+ years of management/leadership experience
  • Offer experience in B2B SaaS sales and sales management
  • Have experience prospecting into various market segments and personas
  • Have stellar problem-solving abilities, thrive working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoy the challenge of making a large impact early on in a start-up environment
  • Possess the technical competency to understand Vanta’s software, the intellectual curiosity to want to learn about the world of governance, risk and compliance, and to build great relationships with highly technical prospects who are willing to rethink the paradigm in how security is achieved, and to enhance and evolve their own security programs
  • 1+ years experience building and managing a high performing SDR SaaS sales teams
  • Consistent track record of 100% team attainment as a front line leader
  • Proven track record of scaling teams & selling complex solutions
  • Proven track record and experience in increasing efficiency and productivity across a growing sales org
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to coach SDRs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment, mentoring, and development of a team of a SDRs which includes hiring and training new members
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve process, efficiency, and productivity across the SDR organization
  • Build and Implement a data driven Inbound strategy
  • Foster an environment of high performance & accountability
  • Consistently deliver against sales pipeline and headcount targets
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline and qualified opportunity targets
  • Develop sales, product and industry skills of each team member
  • Motivate team members through creative incentives
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of Process, Efficiency and Productivity
  • Lead by example and champion our Principles while fostering a collaborative, transparent, inclusive sales environment
