About The Position

The Sales Analytics Manager is a critical member of the Growth Analytics team (Customer, Sales, Marketing & Digital Analytics), responsible for accelerating SiteOne's growth via actionable analytics to support sales, marketing and digital strategies. This role will focus on sales analytics, including seller and sales leader performance, sales book coverage, CRM activity, and key growth opportunities. This role will report directly to the Sr Director, Growth Analytics. Additionally, the role will work very closely with leaders of Sales Excellence and Sales Operations as well as region and area (field team) leaders. The leader will work with key partners to develop and execute a roadmap. In addition, the Manager, Sales Analytics is responsible for gathering insights from the data and making specific, actionable recommendations to guide both strategic plans and tactical exection. This role will provide expertise in sales analytics, strategies, and processes to drive organic growth. The Manager, Sales Analytics will be a key leader supporting our sales/ field teams. Analytical and communication skills will be critical to facilitate the actions needed to drive organic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in analytics or related work experience, 3+ years in sales analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business manufacturing, distribution, retail or a related field preferred
  • Expert Competency in Excel and SQL; Strong understanding of programming logic
  • Expert competency using BI software/ creating reporting dashboards, powerBI and Tableau preferred
  • Advanced competency and experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Proven business acumen and analytical skills (modeling and data analysis), statistical knowledge a plus
  • Strong hands-on capabilities in analytics, strategy development, and process implementation
  • Willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines. Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Leadership Skills - The individual should have demonstrated significant initiative, tenacity, strong decision-making and leadership in prior roles. Entrepreneurial self-starter who will proactively Manage tasks. Team player who enjoys coaching/ developing team-members.
  • Communication skills - The individual must have advanced writing and communication skills and be able to persuade individuals at levels senior to him or her, as well as actively participate in meetings and group discussions with individuals from various functions of the organization (e.g. Sales).
  • Planning and project management skills - Proven success in organizing resources and establishing priorities with a strong attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple projects at a fast pace. Experience managing projects with cross-functional teams preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in accelerating our analytics capabilities and acting on those capabilities to drive growth
  • Support our Sales leaders, sales excellence and sales operations teams. Enable an effective and high-functioning Sales organization.
  • Measure and optimize our sales programs through critical analysis and metrics tracking. Run regular reporting and maintain dashboards such as seller performance, sales leader performance, current and ideal book coverage, quoting win rates, etc.
  • Identify customer and sales opportunities, and partner with Sales leaders to drive execution
  • Partner with IT organization to productionalize analytics into company systems for efficient and scaled execution
  • Prioritize and manage workflow effectively in a fast-paced environment, delivering support to sales/ field teams accurately and quickly.
  • Identify and develop short-term tactical opportunities to improve process efficiency, enhance analytics capabilities, and drive organic growth. Lead performance review meetings.
  • Craft, communicate, and execute long-term sales analytics strategy, working cross-functionally with leaders in field/ sales.
  • Develop and conduct the training of sales teams on sales analytics tools and changes we implement.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
