About The Position

The Manager, Safety, Health, & Security – Safety Framework & Technology is accountable for supporting the management of safety, health, and security (SHS) programs. They are also responsible for developing, championing, and managing various SHS supported vendor programs and assist in the leadership and development of various SHS policy, procedures, and training materials. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Safety, Health, & Security – Safety Framework & Technology.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, logistics, supply chain or related field preferred.
Certified Director of Safety preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing, managing, deploying, and maintaining SHS Policy(ies), SHS Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, SHS Training Materials in a variety of formatting, and SHS Functional Specific Training.
Assists SHS department in seeking technology improvements and vendor services that further enhances Hub Group’s Safety Programming.
Manages, Champions, and Leads vendor supported safety programming including contract support, field support, program management lead, program implementation lead, program training lead, and program case management and resolution.
Build and maintain a “safety culture” that demands a continuous commitment to safety.
Provide safety and other training and development to all levels of Hub Group Personnel and Drivers, including safety messaging management and lead, and training material development and deployment management.
Provide assistance, support, and guidance to all SHS departments.
Serve as point of contact for SHS Framework & Technology department.
Conduct Terminal inspections (periodic travel may be required).
Involvement in Safety Associations at times.
