About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operations for all company facilities. This includes managing access control, guard coverage, surveillance, and response protocols. The position also involves overseeing internal security staff and third-party contractors, leading investigations of security incidents, and coordinating emergency response activities. Additionally, the role entails creating and implementing company-wide security and safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting facility risk assessments. Collaboration with various departments and public safety agencies is expected, as is managing the department's budget and recommending technology investments.

Requirements

  • Manage day-to-day physical security operations for all company facilities, including access control, guard coverage, surveillance, and response protocols.
  • Oversee internal security staff and third-party contractors; ensure quality and adherence to security standards.
  • Lead investigations of security incidents, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities and develop scenario-based response plans.
  • Create, implement, and update companywide security and safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including OSHA, fire codes, and local safety standards.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and Operations to align safety/security protocols with corporate policies and labor law requirements.
  • Conduct facility risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities across offices, data centers, and warehouse environments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics leadership to enforce safety and access protocols, equipment handling guidelines, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation of safety signage, training programs, evacuation plans, and drills at all sites.
  • Act as a key point of contact for cross-departmental initiatives involving security and safety measures.
  • Coordinate with public safety agencies, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.
  • Manage the security and safety department’s budget, procurement of tools and systems (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control).
  • Recommend and implement capital investments in safety/security infrastructure and technology.
