About The Position

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, S&D Lead, located in Massachusetts. The Manager, S&D Lead – Deployment is responsible for leading the deployment and execution of quality and compliance strategies across Sales & Distribution (S&D) operations. This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into execution, ensuring consistent implementation of quality and compliance programs, and driving operational excellence across commercial and distribution networks. The position offers high visibility and impact by partnering closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Commercial leaders to strengthen compliance, enable scalable growth, and support business transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Regulatory Affairs, or a related discipline (required).
  • Typically 6-8 years of progressive experience in Quality, Compliance, Regulatory, Supply Chain, or related operational roles within a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategy deployment, program execution, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and compliance requirements impacting Sales & Distribution operations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional stakeholder environments.
  • English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting Sales & Distribution or commercial operations.
  • Exposure to global or multi‑regional deployment initiatives.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory assessments.
  • Quality or Regulatory certifications (e.g., ASQ, RAC).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quality, Regulatory, or Project Management certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment of Quality & Compliance strategy across Sales & Distribution operations, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local execution.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into executable deployment plans, milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial) to ensure consistent implementation of S&D compliance programs.
  • Monitor deployment progress, identify risks or gaps, and drive timely mitigation actions.
  • Support change management and communication efforts to embed quality and compliance expectations across the organization.
  • Ensure alignment with quality system requirements, regulatory expectations, and internal policies.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments related to S&D quality and compliance deployment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment effectiveness, standardization, and sustainability.
