This position is within the Global Risk and Compliance unit at American Express, the Enterprise’s 2nd line of defense. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a model risk governance manager. Responsibilities for this role include overseeing and enhancing the organization's model risk governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SR 11-7), and effectively managing the enterprise-wide model risk management program. The individual will collaborate with various stakeholders, including model owners, validation teams, internal audit, and senior management, to maintain a robust model risk management program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various technologies, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines. This position will provide the opportunity to interface directly with Senior Leaders within GRC as well as across the enterprise; the nature of the work is fast paced with high impact.
