About The Position

The RGM Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager – Marketplace Architecture plays a critical role in monitoring and maintaining discipline across pricing, promotion, and trade investment decisions. In this role, you will help turn Revenue Growth Management strategy into measurable marketplace results by improving visibility into price architecture across customers, channels, and pack types. Your work will support stronger commercial decision-making and help ensure strategic investment and pricing decisions are consistently executed across the marketplace. This role supports all channels and customers, with a particular focus on channels outside traditional Grocery and Mass.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) commercial experience in Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Promotion Management, Finance, Customer Strategy, Category Management, or related commercial functions.
  • Strong understanding of trade promotion mechanics, customer P&Ls, commercial planning, and Sales execution.
  • Experience supporting commercial plans, customer-level initiatives, and cross-functional execution routines.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate performance data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and reinforce process discipline.
  • Experience utilizing systems, data, and reporting tools to monitor execution and support decision-making.
  • Ability to balance execution speed with governance and operational discipline in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate complexity and influence without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM/TPO) systems and trade governance processes.
  • Experience partnering directly with Key Accounts, Sales organizations, or channel-specific commercial teams.
  • Experience supporting non-grocery channels, including Dollar, Club, and eCommerce customers.
  • Experience conducting promotional ROI analysis, trade optimization, or commercial performance management.
  • Exposure to syndicated data, customer data, and commercial analytics tools.
  • Experience improving business processes, reporting capabilities, and operational routines to strengthen execution discipline.
  • Knowledge of pricing architecture, promotional effectiveness, and trade investment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of the Revenue Growth Management Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in partnership with Sales leaders, Sales Finance, and RGM Strategy teams, ensuring customer plans align with financial targets and commercial guardrails.
  • Partner with Category RGM and Sales stakeholders to drive consistent execution of RGM strategies and commercial routines across customers and channels.
  • Manage and strengthen trade promotion processes, including promotional guardrails, TPM inputs, claims support, accrual visibility, compliance tracking, and process adherence.
  • Conduct post-event analysis and ROI measurement, translating results into actionable insights and recommendations that improve future promotional performance.
  • Support Key Account and Customer Sales Leader (CSL) teams with customer P&L analysis, retailer trade margin assessments, scenario planning, Joint Business Planning support, and customer-level decision making.
  • Assist with promotional calendar planning, negotiation preparation, and give/get discipline to ensure trade investments align with RGM strategies and value targets.
  • Monitor incremental funding requests and risks to promotional guardrails, escalating exceptions and supporting resolution with senior leadership.
  • Partner with RGM Strategy teams to ensure Set Plan objectives are executed consistently at the customer and channel level.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, tools, processes, and routines that strengthen operational discipline and trade investment effectiveness.
  • Provide practical commercial support that helps Sales teams make informed decisions while reinforcing accountability and process consistency.
