About The Position

Revolution Medicines is seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to support commercial launch readiness as the company prepares for its first product launch and continues its transition to a commercial-stage organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting and Finance, this position will play a hands on role in revenue/gross-to-net accounting, forecasting and related month end close processes. This role will help ensure the accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement of RevMed’s revenue accounting and gross-to-net processes. The Manager will be responsible for preparing and analyzing revenue and GTN close activities, supporting forecasting models and assumptions, maintaining strong documentation and controls, and partnering cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Analytics & Insights, FP&A, Supply Chain, Trade & Distribution, and external partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong pharmaceutical or biotech revenue accounting experience, hands on gross-to-net experience, technical accounting judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, collaborative, launch stage environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or related experience, including experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
  • Experience with GTN accruals and reserves, including rebates, chargebacks, discounts, returns, copay, patient assistance, distributor fees, government program items.
  • Experience supporting monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, reserve rollforwards, audit support, and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition, U.S. GAAP, and variable consideration concepts.
  • Experience supporting accounting processes and internal controls in a SOX-compliant environment.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive learner with demonstrated curiosity and interest in using approved AI tools, automation, and analytics to improve accounting and finance processes.
  • Positive, approachable, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly product revenue and gross-to-net close activities, including reserves for prompt pay discounts, copay and patient assistance programs, returns, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, 340B, VA/DoD, distributor fees and other forms of variable consideration.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, reserve rollforwards, close schedules, and supporting documentation for revenue and GTN related accounts.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Commercial, Market Access, and Analytics & Insights to support accurate and timely revenue reporting and forecast-to-actual analysis.
  • Support revenue related financial reporting deliverables, audit requests, quarterly review procedures, and SEC reporting schedules, as applicable.
  • Prepare clear and concise analyses to help Finance and business partners understand changes in GTN rates, payer dynamics, channel activity, contract performance, and reserve balances.
  • Manage day-to-day activities with the external government pricing consultant, including coordinating required data submissions, reviewing government pricing calculations and related outputs, supporting timely invoice review and payment processing, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
  • Support SOX compliance, internal audits, external audits, and quarterly review procedures by preparing high-quality documentation, control evidence, and audit support.
  • Prepare, maintain, and improve RevMed’s GTN forecasting models and methodologies for budget, forecast and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with Commercial and Market Access to gather and maintain GTN assumptions related to payer mix, channel mix, pricing, contracting, patient affordability programs, government programs, and market dynamics.
  • Partner with Analytics & Insights to incorporate relevant demand, patient, payer, and market data into GTN forecasts and forecast-to-actual analyses.
  • Drive the use of approved AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline and automate revenue accounting, gross-to-net forecasting, account reconciliations, reporting, documentation, and month-end close activities while ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
