About The Position

The Manager, Retail Development supports the very important Disney Alliance Contract in Walt Disney World (WDW) through business development with key Disney leadership and Disney cast members, running trunk show events during premium selling days, managing and transporting inventory, working with activation teams, servicing and selling in locations, merchandising events and displays, as well as hiring, scheduling, educating, training, development and sales driving initiatives of Citizen cast members.

Requirements

  • High School and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team.
  • Manages own time and schedule to maximize business.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work under time and task pressures.
  • Ability to maintain composure in difficult customer situations.

  • Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Travels to different locations in WDW to assist VP Sales, Tresmore, and Cast members, including Club 33.
  • Works with store proprietors and operators to develop relationships and be a source of information for Citizen. Greets and speaks with account management and sales associates to inform them of new product lines, campaigns/promotions, special ads, contests and incentives.
  • Completes and submits weekly sales reports, daily reports, call summary reports. Tracks sales to goals and performance to last year. Coaches to sales goals and ways to improve performance. Ensures cast members are reporting sales results on a daily basis. Run contests and sales driving initiatives.
  • Coordinates trunk shows; transports inventory from a storage location, manages and reconciles inventory and samples, orders event supplies as needed. Coordinates with third parties and various Disney World teams to assist with activations, signage, etc. Use of own car may be required and secure overnight storage for one night maybe required in garage or home. Be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Manages Citizen cast members and ensure watch selling training, sizing and brand training. Coaches, develops, feedback, HR issues including timecard policy, late arrivals and schedules.
  • Ensure training on Disney required training including policy and procedure, security, loss prevention, guest experience expectations.
  • Completes monthly cast member schedule to optimize sales performance. Reviews and approves biweekly timecards for team. Coordinates schedules and sends monthly to the teams.
  • Knowledgeable in WDW Park hours, Park happenings, traffic patterns at locations.
  • Ensures all Disney policies are adhered to by AC Manager and all Citizen cast members including security, loss prevention, cell-phone usage, dress code to name a few.
  • Introduces and sells watches to the public at the customer's counter. Describes the many features and benefits, warranty program and repair service.
  • Maintains watch displays and backstock. Cleans cases, polishes watches, groups product by style and category according to corporate plan-o-grams.
  • Checks understock at the store for styles not on display and fills case and spinners with one style of each model.
  • Checks for damaged and defective watches and repairs on site, if possible. Either handles the problem or contacts the appropriate person who can assist the customer. Repairs are limited to band adjustments and battery changes.
  • Assists the customer with all questions, complaints or problems either by answering them or forwarding the information to the appropriate person. Follows up with customer to make sure they have been helped.
  • While at the customer's site, evaluates the adjacent display, product mix and placements.
  • Orders and distributes point of purchase materials and supplies. This includes displays, plaques, counter brochures, repair tools, catalogs, price sheets, brochure stands, etc.
  • Checks to be certain that correct instruction booklets and training guides are available for sales associates use and if not, reorders.
  • Provides training for retail sales personnel on product function, selling features, and service support, including short seminars on setting technical watches, adjusting band links, replacing batteries, etc. Assists in creating training materials.
  • Communicates monthly with Alliance and Alliance hospitality teams.
  • Able to travel from all Parks and locations at WDW, ability to travel Disneyland to support events and cast members, and support US Fan events as needed.
