Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience required.
  • Minimum four years of experience in a sales, retail, or banking environment required.
  • Comply with SAFE Act legislation, including annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  • Proficient math skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Effective leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong training, mentoring, and sales skills.
  • Effective relationship development and marketing skills.
  • Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create a sales/service environment and motivate staff.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets branch needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Member Success: Build and nurture strong relationships within the local community to drive membership, deposit, and loan growth while promoting BECU's value proposition.
  • Coach for Excellence: Inspire your team through consistent coaching, mentoring, and training to develop their skills, encourage professional growth, and achieve sales and service goals.
  • Foster a Service-First Culture: Create an environment that prioritizes outstanding member experiences by ensuring your team aligns with BECU’s purpose and values.
  • Optimize Operational Efficiency: Oversee branch service levels, manage schedules, and use data-driven insights to maintain operational excellence.
  • Build Community Relationships: Partner with community leaders and stakeholders to establish meaningful connections that reinforce BECU’s brand and mission.
  • Lead Compliance and Standards: Ensure all team members adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations while maintaining BECU’s environmental and brand requirements.
  • Recruit and Retain Top Talent: Partner with recruiting teams to attract and onboard exceptional talent to support the branch’s growth and performance.
  • Manage Branch Resources: Collaborate with property management and facilities teams to maintain an efficient and welcoming branch environment.
