Under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Care, this role directs the daily operations of the Respiratory Care Department. Primary responsibilities include personnel management, including recruiting, staff resource management, and compensation. The position also assists in short and long-term planning for the department, represents the department at multidisciplinary meetings, and resolves administrative and operational problems. The Manager delegates duties, manages departmental resources, and collaborates with the Director of Respiratory Care and the Medical Director to establish policies and procedures affecting personnel management and clinical practices.
