About The Position

Terrestrial Energy is a US developer of advanced, Generation IV nuclear reactors, specifically the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) small modular nuclear plant, aiming to provide cost-competitive, clean firm heat and power to industry. Following a merger and becoming a publicly listed company (NASDAQ “IMSR”), the company is entering a growth phase. There is a significant opportunity to participate in the execution of the company’s growth business plan due to current government and industry interest in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and advanced reactor technologies. The company is building a team of high-performing professionals in engineering, R&D, product management, and business development at its Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters and future project sites. Terrestrial Energy is seeking talented individuals to help build the organization, processes, and a goal-oriented corporate culture for expansion. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Nuclear Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience supporting programs in a regulated industry (nuclear, energy, aerospace, or defense preferred).
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must be able to access and use information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws, which mandate all citizenships (including dual citizenships) be from the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A) unless a specific authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy is obtained or unless you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual under the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • PMI certification (PMP® or CAPM®).
  • Experience supporting nuclear regulatory or licensing programs.
  • Familiarity with advanced reactor technologies or FOAK deployment initiatives.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting executive-level governance or strategic planning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory and enterprise-level strategic initiatives related to deployment of the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR).
  • Provide coordination, integration, and reporting support across licensing, strategic planning, project execution, and governance in a highly regulated nuclear environment.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment with IMSR deployment objectives.
  • Coordinate activities supporting nuclear licensing, regulatory engagement, and compliance milestones.
  • Track regulatory commitments, deliverables, schedules, and dependencies across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regulatory and strategic program documentation in accordance with nuclear quality assurance requirements.
  • Support preparation of regulatory correspondence, briefing materials, and executive-level summaries.
  • Support governance forums, steering committees, and strategic reviews, including agendas, materials, and action-item tracking.
  • Ensure alignment between regulatory activities and IMSR deployment execution plans.
  • Monitor program risks, issues, and milestones; escalate concerns as appropriate.
