If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you. The Manager will report to and support the Director, Central Region, Regional Security Operations (RSO). This position supports Central Region security operations while providing meaningful HQ (Las Colinas) security support in partnership with the Senior Manager, RSO. The role is designed to build operational depth and continuity at HQ while contributing to regional priorities such as investigations support, audits, and security program execution. This person will work collaboratively with the Senior Manager and Director, Regional Security Operations and other members of the Global Security & Safety (GSS) team to successfully build, maintain, and strategically influence relationships across all areas of the company (HR/ER, Communications, Meeting & Events Services, Legal, Internal Audit, Compliance and Real Estate), while championing GSS initiatives. This role includes a deliberate development path to build bench strength and future HQ continuity, working alongside the Senior Manager, RSO while maintaining clear role boundaries and ownership.

Requirements

  • 5 Years Security Experience
  • 2 Years Security Experience in Corporate, Government or Military Environments
  • 2 Years Supervisory Experience

Responsibilities

  • Support oversight of contracted security services at HQ under the direction of the Director, RSO and in coordination with the Senior Manager, RSO. Provide support for a contracted security force that is responsible for building access control, monitoring electronic security systems and the protection of occupants. Assist with the management of the relationship with the contract security service company to ensure proper staffing and service requirements. Participate in weekly meetings with on-site supervision.
  • At the direction of the Director, RSO, conduct preliminary/basic investigations involving thefts, threats, fraud, workplace violence and others as required. Provide tactical support as necessary to Senior Manager, RSO. Assist with regional site security operations and provide tactical support as needed to other McKesson locations. Assist with and conduct Site Security Audits as required.
  • Monitor the day-to-day use of the campus electronic security systems, which includes access control, intrusion detection and video monitoring systems. Manage the site’s ID badge program. Coordinate regular testing of all ESS equipment. Conduct initial troubleshooting and repair. Report issues for repair as needed. Coordinate with Facilities and Meeting & Events to ensure procedures are followed regarding the receipt of guests and granting of appropriate access privileges.
  • Coordinate with Global Security Executive Protection team (and Meeting and Events teams as appropriate) for all senior executive, Board of Director, and VIP visits. Conduct basic intelligence gathering for possible security concerns in the area. Identify vulnerabilities that impact the security and safety of people, and property. Lead data analytics for the Regional Security Operations team to highlight achievements.
  • Ensure campus security plan is up to date and implemented in order to mitigate known risks and vulnerabilities. Ensure campus emergency action and emergency response plans are up to date. Participate in annual training and response efforts. Conduct security orientation and quarterly awareness campaigns. Maintain a liaison relationship with local law enforcement, state and federal agencies. Respond to after-hour campus incidents, as necessary.
