About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Manager, Records Management to join our team in our Seattle office. We offer a hybrid work engagement with two days of remote work, and three days in-office. This position is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of the firm’s Records Management function. The Manager ensures alignment with firm-wide Information Governance policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management objectives. The role provides end-to-end ownership of records management operations, including physical and electronic records, and is accountable for team performance, policy implementation, and process optimization across the firm. Requirements

  • Significant experience in records management or information governance
  • Proven leadership and operational management experience
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the firm’s Records Management strategy
  • Lead development of policies, standards, and procedures
  • Establish goals, metrics, and reporting
  • Act as subject matter expert to leadership
  • Own end-to-end Records services delivery
  • Oversee full records lifecycle
  • Ensure SLA adherence and performance tracking
  • Address service gaps and risks
  • Lead, develop, and manage staff
  • Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management
  • Manage workload and resource allocation
  • Build a high-performing team culture
  • Ensure policy and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with Legal and Risk teams
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Standardize practices across offices
  • Drive automation and process improvements
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions
  • Partner with IT on enhancements
  • Promote transition to electronic records
  • Act as liaison across departments
