Armanino’s Real Estate Accounting Outsourcing practice supports owners, operators, developers, and investors with tech‑enabled accounting, financial reporting, and operational transformation. As a Real Estate Outsourced Accounting Manager, you will lead client engagements across diverse real estate portfolios while driving efficiency, automation, and strategic insights in alignment with Armanino’s consulting approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience in real estate accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, real estate and property-level accounting.
  • Experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and real estate accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, AppFolio, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a consulting environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or progress toward CPA.
  • Experience in commercial, multifamily, mixed‑use, development accounting, fund accounting or fund/REIT structures.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools and cloud ERP solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outsourced monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for clients’ real estate portfolios, including accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
  • Review and deliver financial statements, cash‑flow reports, and management packages while ensuring all lender, investor, and partnership reporting requirements are met.
  • Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for client executives and asset managers, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, monitor expenditures, and support tracking of capital projects.
  • Assist in due diligence, onboarding, and integration activities for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Apply working knowledge of multi‑entity structures and joint‑venture reporting (LLCs, LPs, JVs, REIT entities, and fund structures).
  • Review property budgets, forecasts, and operating results with clients; collaborate with property managers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement workflow improvements aligned with Armanino’s operational efficiency standards and client requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements, recommending practical internal controls and best practices.
  • Provide analytical insights to help clients improve performance, increase efficiency, and support future growth plans.
  • Partner with Armanino’s tax, transformation, AI, and advisory teams to deliver coordinated service solutions.
  • Supervise and develop outsourced accounting staff, ensuring accurate work, consistent processes, and adherence to SLAs and quality standards.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching, training, and feedback to support team accuracy, development, and service delivery.
