Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Radiology required
  • Minimum of three years of experience across various radiology areas
  • New Mexico State License in Radiologic Technology (NMRRT) required

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of radiology supervision experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • This position manages the radiology department and its staff to meet the needs of the hospital, patients, and physicians.
  • The radiology manager ensures compliance with all mammography accreditations and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Responsibilities include developing an operating budget that meets organizational needs and operating within budget guidelines, as well as staffing the department based on volume to ensure productivity.
  • The role hires, counsels, and terminates employees according to PHS guidelines and participates in employee development.
  • As needed, the manager performs diagnostic radiology, CT, bone density, and ultrasound exams.
  • The position attends department head meetings, holds monthly staff meetings, and supports the PHS Mission of Purpose, Vision, Values, and Strategies.
  • The radiology manager also works with the community to support a county‑wide health care system and educates the community on departmental and hospital services.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
