About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Manager of Quality Informatics for our System Quality Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Manager of Quality Informatics, you will develop and maintain excellent relationships with team members at the system, entity, and departmental levels. You will participate in CERNER and other clinical applications design, validation, and go-live support, understanding the technical capabilities of our current systems and participating in continued process improvement and redesign. You will assess clinical care delivery to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency across the AHC system, guiding processes within the system capabilities to collect/analyze patient information, identify trends, and consider process and outcome data in an effort to reduce redundancy and standardize clinical practice and documentation where possible. You will integrate all aspects of patient care documentation into a patient care data management system utilizing the Cerner System as the primary tool, including the technical, cultural, process, knowledge, coordination, political, and communication components. You will promote ongoing system adoption and effectively utilize evidence-based change cycle models. You will assist with the collection and reporting of metrics, defining benefits realization and return on investment associated with Clinical Information Systems. You will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of ongoing changes to the patient care data management system at AHC in accordance with state/federal regulations and guidelines, end-user feedback, and the System Quality Agenda. You will serve as a member of the Accreditation Readiness Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Healthcare
  • Knowledge of CERNER/comparable clinical applications
  • Strong working knowledge of accreditation readiness (state/federal regulations, accreditation body standards, etc.)
  • Must have clinical workflow expertise
  • Must have excellent facilitation skills
  • Must be effective as a team member and team leader
  • Must have excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Must have experience with data collection, aggregation, and analysis
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Experience with and working knowledge of clinical systems
  • Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Healthcare
  • Knowledge of lean or Six Sigma preferred
