About The Position

The Manager of Quality Control Model Development is responsible for overseeing the development of supplied parts and SIA manufacturing processes to ensure the overall quality of completed vehicles meets necessary requirements. This role involves managing and supporting section staffing, including both hourly and salaried positions. Key responsibilities include ensuring manufacturing and inspection requirements are met, conducting drawing reviews, setting development targets, facilitating communication with the design department, managing supplier part development, and ensuring completed vehicles meet form, fit, and function standards. The position also entails leading vehicle audits and resolving all quality problems prior to SOP. The role requires ensuring compliance with all SIA policies and procedures, developing section strategies and targets to support initiatives, supporting and driving quality improvement initiatives throughout the plant, and developing and managing section budgets for Capital, Expense, and Labor. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • Five years of relevant experience
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to attend evening meetings with Japanese counterparts on a weekly basis
  • Ability to travel foreign and domestic for extended periods
  • Strong written, verbal, and computer skills required
