The Manager, Quality Assurance Laboratory Testing, leads the execution and oversight of physical, mechanical, and performance testing to ensure product compliance and reliability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the manager provides technical expertise, analyzes test data, and delivers accurate reporting to support business objectives. The position also involves supervising and developing laboratory staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining rigorous quality control to uphold organizational standards and operational excellence. About the team: The Quality Assurance team leads supplier quality management by implementing rigorous protocols and continuous improvement processes. They collaborate with suppliers to validate product performance before production, driving quality initiatives and managing corrective and preventive actions. The team ensures manufacturing processes meet high standards through strong leadership and effective communication. They assess supplier performance, provide actionable feedback, and support process enhancements. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in testing methodology, quality control, and verification and validation processes.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate laboratory activities and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Ability to analyze test data accurately and prepare detailed, traceable reports for stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining laboratory instruments and ensuring compliance with calibration and safety protocols.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing preventative maintenance measures.
  • Effective communication skills to provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (for example, materials science, mechanical engineering, chemistry) and 3 years’ hands-on experience in product or material testing labs.
  • 5 years’ experience in laboratory testing, quality assurance, or compliance.
  • Experience applying industry standards in a quality assurance or compliance setting.
  • Experience in lab equipment operation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience interpreting test specifications and documenting detailed, technical test results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in third-party certification processes or internal audit support.
  • Experience with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS), SharePoint, or digital quality assurance tools.
  • Experience working in consumer product compliance, furniture, general merchandise, or similar industries.
  • Masters: Business Administration
