About The Position

The Quality and Food Safety Manager will provide a range of quality, food safety, regulatory and technical leadership experience in the beverage and/or food industry to support Supplier Quality onboarding function. This position requires expertise in auditing and onboarding new suppliers, microbiological risk assessments, regulatory compliance of ingredients/packaging material and investigation of non-conformances to drive corrective actions. This position will report to the Senior Director on Quality and Food Safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or relevant science discipline required
  • 5 years’ experience in Quality and Food Safety in the food or beverage industry required
  • ISO 14000

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require The Coca-Cola Company's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage on an ongoing basis the technical relationship between QSE and our suppliers
  • Continually onboard new ingredient and packaging material suppliers
  • Review and approve all new ingredients, and packaging materials and sites
  • Prioritize based on risk and develop a calendar for Quality & Food Safety audits and assessments of supplier sites
  • Lead microbiological risk assessments on ingredients
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of ingredients and packaging materials for countries of sale of finished product including US, Mexico, and Canada
  • Manage and keep updated all supplier and material documentation including annual reviews
  • Investigate non-conformances and drive effective CAPAs for all supplier related incidents
  • Monitor and drive supplier compliance and performance
  • Develop and manage supplier related metrics and internal and external reporting
  • Support the continued development of Quality and Food Safety standards and guidance documents
  • Work closely with Sourcing, NPD, Regulatory, and cross functional teams to drive compliance to standards
  • Manage certification programs including Kosher and bottle deposits
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting Quality in Design innovation, renovation, and productivity initiatives. This includes assessing and approving QFS criteria in finished product specifications.
