About The Position

The Project Accountant Manager is responsible for supervising, coordinating and resource planning for the Project Accounting team in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the organization. This role will be responsible for the proper recording in accordance with GAAP and ensure alignment of services offered reflect proper timely revenue and expense recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all business units (T&E, Marketing, I&R) billing schedule and project resourcing on a day to day and weekly basis
  • High Acuity/Ensures ASC 606 GAAP revenue and expense recognition is being followed and timing of revenue recognition is consistent with contract wording/services being provided
  • Understands and applies billing / revenue accounting processes and practices
  • Manages the preparation around complex client / supplier invoices
  • Assists in financial statement preparation (accruals, budget-actual comparison, discrepancy research and resolution).
  • Prepares other ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Assists in evaluating auditor’s comments and developing action plans to resolve open issues.
  • Strengthens and maintains efficiency of the accounting function through review of processes and procedures and implementation of process improvements and improvement of information to customers
  • Answers account management questions related to client invoices
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for managing all project accountants and billing support staff, including hiring, and delegating work load
  • Provide leadership, creating an environment of openness and trust and foster a team culture consistent with One10 values
  • Consistent focus on resource allocation based on current initiatives and needs of the business
  • Build and maintain a high-performance team through understanding team competencies, performance management, employee development, and efficient communications that drives positive employee engagement. Ensure team is trained on processes, controls, and functionality of ERP/sub systems.

  • Implement systems and processes to speed up processing time while maintaining accuracy and integrity of data
  • Support the automated multi cadence of KPI operational and financial dashboards
  • Support accounting system implementations and integrations
  • Implement and maintain SOPs/Policies for major accounting process
  • Implement cross functional training program
  • Implement accounting flowchart for revenue and billing processes
  • Support management team with system, team, and process integration related to acquisitions
