The Bureau of Children, Youth, Families, and Developmental Disabilities (CYF-DD) within the Division of Mental Hygiene is responsible for the planning, funding, and oversight of New York City's comprehensive network of child and adolescent community mental health services, as well as services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. CYF-DD utilizes research and surveillance for policy development, service planning, implementation, and evaluation, incorporating a health equity lens. The Bureau oversees a portfolio of over 100 programs and supports a family-driven, individualized, and strength-based approach to care. The Office of Programs manages contracts for mental health services to children, youth, and families, monitoring programs through data analysis, site visits, and providing technical assistance to providers to enhance program quality. The portfolio includes the Crisis Response Unit, Non-Medicaid Care Coordination, Court-Involved Youth, School Response Teams, and Adolescent Skill Centers. The Office collaborates across Bureaus within the Division of Mental Hygiene to ensure timely submission of contracts, payments, and contractor performance evaluations.
