The Domain Awareness and Precision Strike (DAPS) Finance Team, in the Strategic Sensors and Precision Strike (SSPS) Mission area has an immediate need for a Business Manager supporting the Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR) Program within the Strategic Early Warning (SEW) portfolio of programs and the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) programs. The SEW/SDA Business Manager is an integral part of the DAPS Finance leadership team. The selected individual will be responsible for all aspects of Business Finance execution activities including Program Cost Controls, Proposals, Financial Planning and Analysis, Estimates at Completion (EACs) and overall financial execution of the QEWR and SDA programs. The selected individual must be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being aggressively challenged. Competitive applicants must have the ability to think on their feet, provide accurate and insightful management analysis with recommendations, manage competing priorities and interact with various levels of management, including Program Directors, Program Managers, and various Program Management office representatives to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operating, and financial objectives.

  • Lead and manage a team of financial analysts by providing support, mentorship and training
  • Management of earned value, analysis of program performance ensuring compliance with internal EVM policy and 10255
  • Quarterly development of Estimate at Completion (EACs)
  • Interfacing with Program Management Office and the Integrated Product Leadership Team, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Support monthly pre-close and month end close activities including risk and opportunity management
  • Support the development of product group level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) objectives
  • Meet critical deadlines while managing multiple conflicting priorities
  • Use strong analytical abilities to understand data quickly in order to make informed business decisions
  • Prepare finance charts for Program Business Reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required
  • Participation in key leadership strategy reviews
  • Support proposal development, submittal, negotiations and program start up activities
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Experience with data analysis and/or reporting
  • Experience with Program Controls and EVMS (Earned Value Management) and/or Estimates at Complete (EACs)
  • Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Experience with proposals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form
  • Experience interfacing with senior level management and customers, including formal presentations
  • Ability to think on their feet, make decisions in a fast-paced environment, and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to identify issues and implement corrective action plans that produce positive results
  • Ability to partner with various functional teams and work in collaboration on the successful execution of gate reviews, contract modification negotiations, financial reporting, and EAC’s.
