Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS), a mission area within Advanced Products & Solutions (APS), is looking for a Manager, Program Cost Controls to support our Surveillance and Tactical Advanced Radar Solutions (STARS) team.The successful candidate will be looking to make the next career step into a high visibility Finance Manager role leading a growing portfolio within the MSR product line consisting of production, externally reported EV development, and sustainment program with a strong LRP outlook. What You Will Do This role is primarily responsible for, but not limited to: Assisting in preparation of Five Year and Annual Operating Plans, financial forecasting and reporting, variance analysis, Earned Value Management and compliance, Estimates at Completion (EACs), proposal support, cash management, and capital/company funded requests. A key requirement for this position is the ability to provide strategic financial leadership for areas such as affordability, cost management, and program growth. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges and multiple competing priorities. Strong communication skills are also required, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers within the organization and to make recommendations for appropriate solutions.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with APEX/SAP Managed Programs finance module, Business Warehouse or similar system.
  • Experience in Program cost schedule and control, financial planning, or similar role.
  • Experience with MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP, APEX EV, Business Warehouse
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing Estimates at Completion (EACs)
  • Experience analyzing data and information necessary to ensure program performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are identified and corrective action is taken
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to support the preparation and presentation of written briefs and summaries for internal/external dissemination
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, etc) in proposal development and program execution.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) & Experience with and knowledge of APEX EV
  • GovCon/Defense industry experience with knowledge of both government accounting techniques and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes; domestically and internationally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization
  • Experience in development / strategic program new business capture.
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
