The Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit of Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Business Manager to join the Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS), Fire Controlled Radar Sustainment (FCRS) Finance team in El Segundo, CA. This finance manager position is an integral part of the FCRS finance team and product line leadership teams; helping to create a management operating system to enhance organizational performance, develop organizational capability, and meet customer & shareholder commitments. You will work closely with the area program Associate Director as well as cross-functional administration to facilitate financial results, while also maintaining excellent internal controls across a varied program portfolio which includes Radar Spares and Repairs programs. You will attend key team members meetings and provide recommendations for various business reviews such as Estimates at Completion (EACs), Gate reviews, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and Earned Value (EV). In addition, you will be responsible for the oversight of FP&A deliverables including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Short Range Outlook (SRO), 5-year strategic Long-range Plan (LRP), monthly forecasts, and balance sheet analysis. This role will work closely with the cross-functional program teams to ensure accurate and timely identification of risks and opportunities. The selected candidate will be expected to engage in proposal development within the Japan F-15 (JF-15) programs including review of Basis of Estimates (BOEs), gate chart review, and manpower planning. Additionally, you will play an active role in developing and mentoring team members while also partnering with program teams to guide and support critical business decisions. The selected candidate will regularly interact with program directors and senior finance leadership. Influential and effective written and verbal communication will be required skills. This position will help drive various program cadence and continued process improvements. They will need to analyze and interpret data quickly to make informative and impactful business decisions. This finance role must be able to interpret and ensure implementation of Raytheon financial policies and procedures to program personnel in their daily/weekly communications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years applicable work experience in Financial Management, Financial Planning and Analysis, Program Controls or related areas of finance.
  • Prior Finance leadership experience and demonstrated experience effectively leading/managing/developing teams.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes.
  • Prior work experience with a US Government defense contractor.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adequate financial controls that provide a balance between finance goals and program goals.
  • Responsible for preparing finance charts for Program Management Reviews
  • Responsible for preparing monthly operating reviews, EACs, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required
  • Serve as the Lead for the development of the FCRS JF-15 Sustainment five year strategic and annual operating plans and related analysis as well as having the ability to coordinate the accumulation and presentation of nonfinancial data
  • Support the monthly closing process to provide variance analysis and work within the business and with the FCRS JF-15 Finance Team.
  • Leads planning and forecasting processes for FCRP JF-15 Sustainment.
  • Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to the JF-15 Program Associate Director and FCRS Finance Associate Director, utilizing standard company tools, and in compliance with standard processes.
  • Reviews of financial reports, presentations and bids for accuracy and completeness.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing contract modifications for financial correctness.
  • Performs timely contract closures and balance sheet clean up.
  • Manage several direct reports – responsible for their performance while providing guidance regarding career development plan.
  • Help the program team develop strategies for expansion of program area – such as work on company investment/ROI pitches.
  • Influence LT on better alignment of organization – people, cadences, processes.
  • Develop and enhance existing tools/processes.
  • Present to LT at all levels of the organization as required on critical programs within the portfolio.
  • Act as a key business partner to the program teams, challenge business performance and act as the financial conscience of the business.
