Reporting to the Associate Director for Research Programs within the Department's Research Division, the Manager, Programs and Research provides operational, administrative, and programmatic leadership in support of the Division's research, scholarly, and academic missions. This position serves as a key partner to Research Division leadership by coordinating business operations, supporting strategic initiatives, facilitating collaboration across stakeholders, and leading projects that advance divisional priorities. The position serves as an administrative deputy to divisional leadership and plays an important role in ensuring the effective execution of research-related initiatives, programs, and operations. The Manager, Programs and Research Operations supports a broad portfolio of activities that enable research faculty, trainees, and research programs to succeed. Working closely with faculty, departmental leaders, trainees, and institutional partners, the position helps coordinate operational planning, divisional reporting and analysis, faculty recruitment and onboarding activities, facilities and space-related initiatives, research education collaborations, communications, and special projects. The position serves as a central resource for divisional events, faculty engagement initiatives, educational partnerships, and operational planning efforts. Through strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision-making, the Manager helps ensure the Research Division remains responsive to organizational needs while supporting faculty productivity, collaboration, and academic advancement.
