About The Position

Fidelity is seeking a Product Development professional to lead the evolution of its equity trading and analytics products. The role balances product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery to create a platform that helps clients navigate and execute in an increasingly complex market. It focuses on advancing Fidelity Capital Markets' equity offering toward an integrated platform vision.

The position involves modernizing trading infrastructure and data pathways to provide scalable solutions for varied customer demands; managing risk and production operations; projecting platform capacity; and coordinating the product development lifecycle across business, trading consultants, data scientists, and technology teams. The role also facilitates delivery across multiple workstreams, analyzes trading data to reduce customer transaction costs, and periodically participates in validation of scheduled system upgrades outside business hours.

The Systematic Trading and Analytics Platform team develops trading capabilities and quantitative expertise for next-generation equity brokerage products. It builds trading infrastructure and algorithms to support best execution, and works with clients to improve trading strategies, explain market structure and trading tools, and address client-specific challenges. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or another relevant quantitative discipline.
• Experience in systematic trading and Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) to improve trading algorithms.
• Obtain Series 7, 57, and 63 licenses within a timeframe set by the business unit.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data and optimize outcomes of a complex trading system.
• Attention to detail, disciplined execution, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability and interest in optimizing workflows, creating scale and efficiency, and learning new things.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence through thought leadership.
• Knowledge of the US equity market, trading algorithms, and market microstructure.
• Ability to coordinate delivery across business, quantitative, and technology teams and take product enhancements from concept through implementation.
• Technical knowledge of Python, KDB/Q, Snowflake, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of equity trading and analytics products, including product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery.
• Modernize trading infrastructure and data pathways to provide scalable solutions for a wide range of customer demands.
• Manage risk using automated fail-safe recovery mechanisms, real-time alerting, systematic back testing, system and process documentation, Jira follow-ups, and resolution of real-time production incidents.
• Measure capacity projections and iterate on a roadmap for real-time and historical platform headroom.
• Coordinate the product development lifecycle across business, trading consultants, data scientists, and technology teams to deliver enhancements and improve platform capabilities.
• Participate in validation for scheduled system upgrades, which periodically take place outside business hours.
• Facilitate execution across multiple workstreams by managing priorities, tracking delivery milestones, and resolving cross-functional dependencies.
• Analyze trading data and derive solutions to lower transaction costs for customers.
