About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Manager, Product Management 2 - Tech in San Jose, CA What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Lead product strategy and execution for eBay’s vehicles category and adjacent initiatives. Build and implement a compelling roadmap supporting eBay’s marketplace's business growth goals. End-to-end product ownership from gathering product and technical requirements to building and launching large-scale capabilities. Innovate and reinforce the field of eBay’s engineering operations, from sprint reviews to definition of done. Successfully manage multiple projects from concept to delivery. Drive cross-functional execution with researchers, analysts, designers, and engineer, legal/privacy, risk/payments and customer service. Run launch readiness (support A/B test setup, timely delivery, SLAs) and lead post-launch reviews with clear success criteria. Utilize knowledge of and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, data analysis, Excel, SQL, and Tableau, including experience building products and with e-commerce delivering (both buying and selling experiences). As a people leader, scope clear swimlanes for product managers (e.g., Listing, Discovery, Checkout, Post-Sale) in building electronic commerce products, hire and coach talent, calibrate performance, and elevate PM craft (requirements, UX design, Rest APIs, experiment, stakeholder communications). Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus ten years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus twelve years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience in software development (5 years).
  • Experience with requirements gathering, designing, developing, testing, and debugging computer software systems and software applications (4 years).
  • Experience using data structure, and algorithms by implementing and testing the database’s system level components and applying the knowledge of database concepts (4 years).
  • Experience in Oracle DB, software system design, server-oriented architecture, and SQL language (4 years).
  • Experience in Microsoft excel sheet, Amplitude, Looker and Tableau software while doing data analysis to measure the impact of A/B testing and forecast revenue.
  • Optimizing every aspect of the customer conversion funnel from increasing activation to improving engagement, retention and monetization leading to significant revenue growth (3 years).
  • Experience in agile product development methodologies and Jira software while driving execution and communicating status with the engineering teams (3 years).
  • Experience in Android and IOS mobile applications, front-end application development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and NodeJS, backend microservice in Java language and Git application while leading the execution of applications and working closely with engineering teams (3 years).
  • Experience with object-oriented design methodology, and multi-tier distributed software systems, while working with solution architects for building large-scale information applications/systems (3 years).
  • Experience in electronic commerce, checkout, identity, payment platforms and systems (3 years).
  • Experience with Rest APIs and postman software during customer experience’s manual testing (3 years).
  • Experience identifying and gathering the functional requirements and implementing them as a new feature of a system level application in C language (1 year).
