Manager, Product Development (SunPass Program Lead)
About The Position
This role manages research and development activities for SunPass products and solutions, working with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met and products transition smoothly from development to commercialization. The position also involves determining product delivery and deployment schedules, acting as a technical consultant to the SunPass Operations team, leading testing of new technologies, and ensuring product specifications align with business objectives. Additionally, the role oversees product delivery, manages schedules and tasks for all aspects of product development, and develops/maintains a centralized inventory of SunPass products, solutions, and applications. It also involves capturing and tracking initiative updates, monitoring product performance against requirements, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating on reporting tools. The role ensures Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and supports decision-making for initiatives. In times of emergency, this position supports state response efforts and ensures operational continuity.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of tech industry, product engineering, operations, technology integration, or other related work experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Manages research and development activities related to the design, enhancement, and qualification of SunPass products and solutions.
- Works with cross-functional teams to ensure fulfillment of product requirements and transition products from development to commercialization.
- Assists in determining product delivery and deployment schedules for new releases, feature updates, and maintenance cycles.
- Acts as a technical consultant to the SunPass Operations team, leading testing and evaluation of innovative technologies.
- Ensures technology and product specifications align with SunPass business objectives.
- Oversees product delivery, managing schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development.
- Develops and maintains a centralized inventory of SunPass products, solutions, and applications.
- Captures and tracks SunPass Operations initiative updates in compliance with reporting standards.
- Monitors input from all business units to ensure products meet functional and performance requirements.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and lifecycle replacement needs; prepares documentation and summaries for leadership visibility.
- Collaborates with Toll Operations Business Intelligence team to develop dashboards and reporting tools for program performance monitoring.
- Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are created and maintained, establishing a lifecycle process for updates.
- Gains detailed knowledge of all facets of SunPass Operations to support decision-making and implementation of initiatives.
- Serves in times of emergency to support state response efforts and ensure continuity of operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
